I have tried several times to install this editor, and I always get errors. The current error is:

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

Process id=0xffe7fe19(-1573351), Thread id=0xfff869cd(-497203)

Click OK to terminate, etc etc

Before it was complaining about the UOMap.ocx

Is this only me? or do others have problems installing this?

I don't know if this is related to your problem, but this is in the instalation thread.

Troubleshooting:

Problem: SpawnEditor2.exe wont start up.

If you are having trouble starting up SpawnEditor2.exe or you receive error messages when you run Setup.bat, you may be missing some needed system dlls. To fix this problem follow these steps:

1) To find out what required system dlls you might be missing, run the dll dependency walker program 'depends.exe' that can be downloaded at http://www.dependencywalker.com/ and open up the UOMap.ocx from the File menu.

2) Note any missing required dlls that it reports (shown in red).

3) Get the missing dlls and install them in the windows System32 folder.
You can probably find the dll that you need at this site http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/
(Dont worry about missing Java dlls since Java support is not required).

4) Run Setup.bat again to install the UOMap.ocx tool.

yep. do the dependency walker. Sounds like you are missing some system dlls needed by the uomap.ocx tool.

I've downloaded the .Rar's several times so far and haven't even gotten it up and running so far. Partly because the files are incomplete and won't unzip without errors for me, using winace so I don't see what the problem is sad.gif I want to get it going the main file with the spawner .exe will unzip but I can't get it to run without the others. Any ideas?

have you tried using 7-zip from the Files forum?
