got all spawns changed over to xmlspawners from premiumspawners and ran the [optimalsmartspawning command and yet I still have xmlspawners not being set to smartspawning other than vendors. does the closenest to other xmlspawners affect this? there are 2549 spawns not set to smartspawning after running the [optimalsmartspawning and only about 350 of those are vendors. if that many

If you want to maximize the number of spawners that are configured for smartspawning, give the [optimalsmartspawning command a large difference argument.
[optimalsmartspawning 100
Where the argument is the maximum allowed difference in number of tiles between the spawnrange and homerange.
What that does is to allow it to set smartspawning on spawners that have a big difference between their spawning range and their home range. This is a cosmetic thing in which spawners with a big difference between the two could have creatures that have wandered outside of their spawning range (due to the large homerange).
Then when they are despawned and then respawned back to within the spawnrange, the difference in the respawned distribution could be noticed by players.
A smaller number makes it more likely that players will never notice that things are being smartspawned.
A larger number will configure more spawners for smartspawning.
You can pick any value you like depending on your preferences.
ok I did [optimalsmartspawning 100 and still have spawners not being converted. I m standing next to on that spawn range is 50 and home range is 50 and it still didn't turn on smart spawning. is there something I am doing wrong

I'm guessing that it has wandering healers on it.
is there a way to make it not see the wandering healers as vendors.

no, but what you can do is just use [xmlfind to manually configure them for smartspawning
1) locate all of the spawners that have wandering healers, using the entry field.
2) select them all with the Select All checkbox.
3) enter the command "set smartspawing true" into the Command field and apply it to all of the selected spawners.
ok thanks that worked great.
