Im looking for ideas for skills that are not a part of Ultima, but should be, or would be cool to have. What skills would you add into the game, if you could?
I know it has been a while and no one has had any ideas for you here. Someone suggested Weaving to me the other day. They said there are existing scripts for weaving. I think it would be cool as an addition to tailoring, the same way glassblowing is an addition to alchemy. Weavers could make tapestries and banners.
I always thought making jewelry should be separate from tinkering. I run an old-school shard and I miss the days when we could put a stack of gems on one piece of jewelry. You could make a 420 diamond ring, for instance.
I don't know if this has been done, but what about a skill that allows you to recharge magic items? I'm not sure what you would call such a skill.
There are systems out there for growing and harvesting crops, but there is no skill to go with them. The system I have uses lumberjacking as the base harvesting skill. It would be neat to have a farming skill.
Anyone else have any ideas?
I'd really like to see an artistry skill ... for painting, sculpting, making tatoos (i have tatoo art for the paper doll).
I also agree with weaving, tho I'd prolly make that a book skill of tailoring, like stone mining is.
We have recently added a herding skill that lets you call herds of domestic animals to you, and then butcher the animals, rather then simply picking up raw ribs of a corpse.
Running

but not in that negative way we hear it so often lol
maybe just like you activate the skill and at GM you can run at horse speed for xxx seconds... would love that
...well remembers me that i have to make Haste Potions
